Hyaluronic Acid: Hyaluronic acid is a natural component, a polysaccharide of human connective tissue, that regulates skin moisture levels. It is located in the basal layer of the epidermis between the keratinocytes and the network of collagen fibers and holds water reserves. It can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. Over time, water reserves decrease, resulting in intense, dry, and gradually losing skin firmness. Hyaluronic acid in cosmetics, depending on its molecular weight, either remains on the surface (HMW) offering immediate smoothing and softness, or penetrates deeper providing long-lasting hydration (MMW), filling wrinkles from the inside, (SMW) and restoring elasticity and volume to the skin.
Small Hyaluronic Acid: A small molecule of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), with molecular weight in the range 37k-56kDa. It has
not only good moisturizing property, but also activities such as transdermal absorption capability, nourishing the skin deeply, etc. It can restore youthful skin by withholding water, improving skin elasticity and decreasing skin wrinkles.
Medium Hyaluronic Acid: A medium molecule of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), with molecular weight in the range 10 kDa ~ 1 MDa. It has a long-lasting moisturizing effect, and nourishes the skin.
Inulin: Inulin is a natural sugar polymer derived from chicory (Cichorium intybus). It has the ability to form a gentle film on the skin and is particularly effective in rinse-off products, as it helps retain oily ingredients present in products that are rinsed off. This helps prolong the action of oil-soluble active ingredients, leaving the skin smooth and soft.
Micelles: Micelles are microscopic structures formed by amphiphilic molecules, with one end attracted to water and the other repelled by it. They remove impurities and makeup without the need for excessive rubbing. Micelles act like magnets, attracting and encapsulating substances that are not water-soluble, such as impurities, sebum and makeup. They leave the skin feeling fresh, clean and revitalized.
Provitamin B5: Panthenol (D-panthenol) belongs to the vitamin B complex and is also known as provitamin B5. When applied to the skin, it is converted into pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). It has soothing and moisturizing properties and helps leave the skin feeling soft and comfortable.
Lavender Extract: Lavender extract (Lavandula angustifolia) is obtained from the flowers of the lavender plant, traditionally known for its soothing and calming properties. It is used to promote a feeling of relaxation and well-being and can help soothe the skin.
Sea Fennel Extract: Sea fennel (Crithmum maritimum) is a herb plant with a woody base and fleshy leaves that grows along the seashore, particularly in Mediterranean regions. It is a plant of notable nutritional and biological value. It contains essential oils, mineral salts and iodine, and is rich in vitamins E, C and K, carbohydrates and organic acids. These components contribute to its antioxidant properties and may help support the skins moisturizing and emollient properties.
