Snail secretion:
It is naturally extracted from the snail species Helix Aspersa which has survived for over 600 million years under extreme conditions. The snail has the ability to produce mucus during its movement, but also in stress conditions. This mucus functions as a defense mechanism and is a rich complex of components such as:
• Allantoin: Stimulates skin regeneration and has a healing, anti-irritant and soothing effect.
• Proteins: Contribute to skin nutrition, improve its texture and make it longer and brighter.
• Vitamins A, C and E: stimulate collagen synthesis and skin renewal
• Alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA): exfoliating action and help cell renewal.
• Mucopolysaccharides: They provide hydration and protect the skin from external attacks.
• Proteolytic Enzymes: Assist in protease/anti-protease balance
• Collagen and elastin: Found as natural ingredients
Cosmetic products use:
• It has exfoliating action.
• Promotes skin cells renewal, as well as the synthesis of fibroblasts for the production of collagen and elastin.
• Contributes to the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans and hyaluronic acid for water maintenance.
• Acts as an antioxidant protecting the skin from UV radiation and free radicals.
• Improves skin elasticity and restores its cohesion.
Extraction process:
Snails are bred in a completely natural environment.
They undergo a process of controlled conditions and stimulated to secrete.
After extracting the secretions, they return healthy to their breeding site.
They are cleaned with distilled water. The secretion is filtered and processed.
The mucus produced from snail movement or from snails break does not have the same action as that one that is produced under controlled condition.
This process is very important for the proper extraction of rich mucus, which is filtered and its contents cleaned through a special treatment.
Hyaluronic Acid: Hyaluronic acid is a natural component, a polysaccharide of human connective tissue, that regulates skin moisture levels. It is located in the basal layer of the epidermis between the keratinocytes and the network of collagen fibers and holds water reserves. It can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. Over time, water reserves decrease, resulting in intense, dry, and gradually losing skin firmness. Hyaluronic acid in cosmetics, depending on its molecular weight, either remains on the surface (HMW) offering immediate smoothing and softness, or penetrates deeper providing long-lasting hydration (MMW), filling wrinkles from the inside, (SMW) and restoring elasticity and volume to the skin.
Small Hyaluronic Acid: A small molecule of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), with molecular weight in the range 37k-56kDa. It has
not only good moisturizing property, but also activities such as transdermal absorption capability, nourishing the skin deeply, etc. It can restore youthful skin by withholding water, improving skin elasticity and decreasing skin wrinkles.
Collagen: Hydrolysed collagen is a combination of proteins, amino acids, peptides and oligopeptides with high levels of Arginine. It is a natural amino acid, the most abundant in the body and comprises almost 30% of all proteins. Collagen contributes to cell renewal elasticity maintenance on the skin, hair, nails, connective tissue and internal organs. Our bodys ability to produce collagen declines around the age of thirty. It consists of four amino acids: Proline, Glycine, Arginine, Hydroxyproline and has an anti-aging, moisturizing, softening and protective effect
Helichrysum & daisy extract: It is a herbal complex of two flowers (helichrysum & daisy) obtained through cold pressing, stabilized with glycerine. When our body is unable to cope with exogenous environmental aggressors, the result is a dull, tired, dehydrated skin with accelerated aging. Elixir and daisy extract activates skin mechanisms through the appropriate enzymes, to deal with the problems caused by environmental harmful factors, deeply moisturizes, acts against premature aging and gives radiance to the skin.
Provitamin B5: Panthenol (D-panthenol) belongs to the vitamin B complex and is also known as provitamin B5. When applied to the skin, it is converted into pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). It has soothing and moisturizing properties and helps leave the skin feeling soft and comfortable.
Prebiotics: It is a polyfructose (inulin and fructose) which is a natural sugar polymer that usually comes from chicory (a type of radish). It is used in skin and hair care products. It balances skin’s microflora promoting its health making it smooth and soft.
Avocado oil: Avocado oil, derived from the plant Persea gratissima, is renowned for its moisturizing, nourishing, and antioxidant properties. Rich in essential fatty acids, it also contains high levels of lecithin, vitamins A, E, and D, phytosterols, and amino acids. It is easily absorbed by the skin, providing deep nourishment and hydration while helping maintain softness, suppleness, and elasticity
Abyssinian oil: They are triglycerides of plant origin concentrated in phytosterols from Crambe abyssinica seed oil. It is used for skin and hair care products. This ingredient has the ability to protect the skin by creating a film. The long chains of fatty acids create a strong antioxidant effect, its high molecular weight makes it a strong heat protectant. It is a strong emollient and moisturizing agent for face products while it gives hair shine, volume and color protection.
Shea Butter: Shea butter is derived from the processing of the nuts of the Vitellaria paradoxa tree, which grows in West and Central Africa. Its high content of fatty acids gives it excellent moisturizing properties. It helps improve the skin’s elasticity and maintain its natural moisture balance. It is rich in phenolic compounds, which have strong antioxidant properties. Shea butter also contains vitamins E and A, which help protect the skin from environmental damage caused by free radicals and pollution, support skin renewal, and improve the overall texture of the skin.
