Hyaluronic Acid: Hyaluronic acid is a natural component, a polysaccharide of human connective tissue, that regulates skin moisture levels. It is located in the basal layer of the epidermis between the keratinocytes and the network of collagen fibers and holds water reserves. It can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. Over time, water reserves decrease, resulting in intense, dry, and gradually losing skin firmness.
